Off-plan property offers a payment plan and a new building. Ready property offers certainty and, often, income from the first month. Each is right for a particular investor, and the choice is less about the market than about you.
What off-plan really buys
The attraction is cash flow: paying over the construction period rather than at once. The cost is time, and the risks that come with time: delivery dates that move, specifications that change, and a market that may look different on completion. These are manageable with the right developer and the right contract, but they are real.
What ready property really buys
You can see it, measure it, and let it. There is no delivery risk, and the income begins at once. The cost is a larger initial outlay and, in a prime district, a price that already reflects the building's maturity.
Waiting has a price. So does certainty. Decide which one you would rather pay.
A simple test
If the money committed to an off-plan plan would otherwise be working elsewhere, and you can hold through a delay without strain, off-plan can be a considered choice. If you need the asset to earn from the start, or you want to live in it this year, ready is the answer. We help clients run this test honestly before any brochure is opened.
